Finding good student housing requires planning and patience. Start your search early – ideally 3-4 months before you need to move. Popular areas near universities fill up quickly, so don't leave it until the last minute.

When browsing listings, look beyond the photos. Check the location carefully – how far is it from campus, the library, or your lecture halls? Consider transport links if you're not within walking distance. Some student areas are well-connected by bus; others require a car or long commutes.
Make a list of non-negotiables. Do you need your own bedroom or are you happy sharing? Is outdoor space important? Do you want furnished or unfurnished? These preferences will narrow down your options significantly.
